Solar Storm

This convex diptych floats off the wall, inviting the viewer to share in the celestial turbulence, both visually and physically – experiencing the raging storm surrounding a solar eclipse.

The execution of the surface design was done with soy wax resist painted on dyed cloth, which was then laid on a bank of snow and discharged.
