Low Tide

As the ocean tide retreats, shallow sand bars are revealed with pools and pockets of frothy waves and rivulets of salt water flowing back into deeper waters. Many times I’ve calmed my mind by wading in ankle deep waters at the edge of this foamy expanse.

I created this dimensional triptych with dyed silk and linen fabrics; piecing, burning, layering and stitching all the elements together.
