Having forgotten a set of incubating Petri dishes, I found that a new microbial growth had formed on the underside of the glass cover, growing from and connecting all the dishes together.

I created this whole cloth design with starch paste and found objects as resists. This was then over dyed, hand embroidered, and bare-needle stitched.
