Day of Three Suns

The Astrological Society scientists reported they found potential existence of star systems containing multiple suns. Interpreting wobbling lights seen through powerful telescopes at an observatory in Chile lead to speculations that planets could exist whose orbits might resemble figure eights, as they travel around and among their suns. I tried to imagine what it must be like to be on a planet orbited three suns!

This art quilt was created with dyed and discharged silk and cotton fabrics; further appliquéd, pieced, layered and stitched.
