Celebration

I visualize a prehistoric tribe dancing in ritual celebration of a successful harvest and prayer for winter survival. The autumnal equinox marks the time of the year that the sun moves across the celestial equator. At this event, in all parts of the world, night and day are equal in length. Here the figures dance between and around the sun and its night-time counterpart, the moon. These festivities commemorate the dependency we have on its universal promise.
