Life in a Perfect Rectangle

I challenged myself to create an answer to a geometry challenge on how to construct a drawing using only squares, each of a different size, but when put together would form an overall large square. In designing this work, I saw it as a metaphor for how we expand our consciousness and spirit. We expand our boundaries from a center core and create an integrated life pattern.

In creating this art quilt, I discharged 9 dyed squares, pieced and free-motion stitched them together.
