Containing wastes with 10,000 years’ half-life in our modestly constructed storage tanks is the height of our collective hubris. Fabric as base material for this sculpture reflects on the ephemeral nature of our coping strategies; the staggered presentation of the barrels calls out the physical precariousness of our approach.

Each barrel is constructed with rusted fabrics, burned, painted and formed.
